The OnePlus 9 series was recently launched in India. OnePlus unveiled three new premium smartphones, including the OnePlus 9, 9R and the flagship 9 Pro. There have been almost four months since the launch of OnePlus, and we already know a little bit about the next product release. It has been reported that OnePlus will release only one ‘T’ smartphone under the OnePlus 9 series. An upgrade to the camera will be included in the upcoming OnePlus 9T. In addition, it is stated that ColorOS could come pre-installed. It was announced recently that OnePlus is integrating OxygenOS and ColorOS into its codebase. OxygenOS will be featured in OnePlus phones launched globally, providing a “more stable platform,” according to OnePlus.
On Twitter, a tipster announced that the OnePlus 9T would be released in the third quarter of 2021 (July to September). According to him, the 9T will launch with a 108MP camera setup. In partnership with Hasselblad, a quad-camera setup on the back will be developed.
OnePlus 9T Camera
In terms of its camera, the standard OnePlus 9 has a triple-camera setup with 48MP. The tipster reports that the camera system on the OnePlus 9T will be upgraded significantly. The device will have a 108MP primary camera and three other sensors. A wide-angle lens will likely be included in one of them. There is also the possibility of OnePlus introducing a telephoto lens.
Yet, no official date has been announced for the launch of the company’s new smartphone line. According to rumours, there will not be a “Pro” 9T. The 9T is likely to be the only product OnePlus launches later this year. The company did not launch the 8 Pro in a ‘T’ variant last year. The company declared it a no-brainer since the OnePlus 8 Pro was packed with top-tier flagship specs.
